Hey!  It's me, Pokey!  

Let me start by saying that I am not a lazy, slow dog.  Nope!  I like to play, run, jump, play chase with my dog friends, and play with the cat when she's in the mood.  Did I mention that I like to snuggle with my people?  That's the best thing in the world to do.  People are awesome and they think I'm pretty awesome, too.  

I'm a little low to the ground so getting up stairs takes me just a minute longer than my long legged friends.  Maybe that's where the name Pokey came from?  Maybe so, but stairs are the only thing that slows me down and they don't slow me down for long. Matter fact, I think my short legs add character.  They give people something to talk about.  Perhaps my dog tag should read:  Life is short... so are my legs!    

No need to worry.  I'm willing to consider you for my new home no matter how long or short your legs are!  Fill out an app and have a chat with my foster.  She'll give you an earful about just how great I am.  :)
